Calatrava Bridge
Landscape & Public Realm · Petah Tikva, Israel — 2021

§ Design note
- 01Night Landmark. Light turns the cable-stayed bridge into a clear night-time landmark over the junction, its lit mast and cables visible from far across the city.
- 02Structure and Curve. Edge lighting follows the bridge's curving deck and soffit, expressing the structure's geometry and the sweep of the crossing in light.
- 03Color and Occasion. A full-color system lets the bridge change with the calendar - everyday color, holidays, and events - so a daily pedestrian crossing also becomes a civic display.

§ Technical notes
- 01Edge & Deck Lighting. Linear LED lines run along the deck edge and soffit, with glowing glass pavers in the walkway, to draw the line of the bridge in color.
- 02Mast & Cables. The white mast and cable stays are lit to read clearly against the night sky as the bridge's signature element.
- 03Dynamic Control. A control system runs programmable color scenes and changes across the deck, soffit, and pavers.
- 04Outdoor Durability. Fixtures are selected for long-term exterior operation, vibration, weather, and maintenance access on a public bridge.
